Eligibility Criteria for Local Bank Officer
1. Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India, or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
2. Experience Required
Candidates must have a minimum of 18 Months of branch experience (Post Essential Academic Qualification) working as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank (as listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India).
3. Age Limit
As of 01.03.2026, candidates must meet the following age limits:
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
- (A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.03.1996 and not later than 01.03.2006).
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
- SC / ST: 5 Years
- PwBD Candidates: 10 Years
4. Local Language Proficiency
Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding the local language of the applied State is mandatory. A language test will be conducted prior to the interview. Exception: Candidates who have studied the local language in their 10th or 12th standard (and can produce the mark sheet as proof) are exempt from this language test.
