The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division - II (formerly known as the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council or AHSEC) has officially activated the "DARPAN" online portal for HS 1st Year Admissions for the academic session 2026-2027.
Students who have recently cleared their HSLC / Class 10 examinations and wish to enroll in Class 11 (Arts, Science, Commerce, or Vocational streams) across various Universities, Degree Colleges, and Senior Secondary Schools in Assam must submit their applications exclusively through this online portal starting from 12th April 2026.

How to Apply for Assam HS 1st Year Admission?
Students who want to secure a seat in Class 11 must complete the registration through the Darpan portal. Follow these simple steps:
- Scroll down to the Important Web Links section at the bottom of this page.
- Click on the "HS 1st Year Online Admission" link to visit the Darpan Portal.
- On the homepage, click on the "Register a New Account" option.
- Enter your personal details, HSLC Roll Number, and passing year accurately.
- Upload the scanned copies of your Passport Size Photograph and 10th Marksheet.
- Create a secure 4-digit Login PIN and click on the Register button.
- Log back into the portal using your Mobile Number and the newly created PIN.
- Select your desired Course and Institutions. You can choose a maximum of FIVE (5) schools/colleges in order of your preference.
- Review all details, submit the application, and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
Darpan Portal Admission Merit List 2026
After the application deadline (22nd April 2026), individual colleges and schools will prepare a category-wise Merit List based on the students' HSLC marks. This Merit/Waiting List will be published on the Darpan portal on 25th April 2026.
Steps after Merit List Publication:
- Log in to the Darpan portal to check your selection status.
- If your name appears in the merit list of multiple colleges, you must click on the "Accept Admission Request" button for the ONE college you finally wish to join.
- You must accept the offer between 25th and 27th April 2026, otherwise, your seat will be cancelled and given to a waitlisted candidate.
