APSC CCE Exam Pattern Overview
The APSC Combined Competitive Examination consists of two rigorous successive stages:
Starting from the 2020 exam cycle, APSC completely revised the Prelims pattern. The optional subject was removed. Now, the Prelims consist of Two Compulsory Objective-Type General Studies Papers (GS Paper I and GS Paper II / CSAT). Both papers carry 200 marks each, with a 1/4th negative marking penalty for wrong answers.
The Mains examination is a descriptive-type written test consisting of six papers, including one Essay Paper and five General Studies Papers. Candidates who clear the written stage are called for a Personality Test/Interview.
