Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible under the Agnipath Scheme 2026, candidates must be born between 01 Jul 2005 and 01 Jul 2009 (both days inclusive).
1. Agniveer (General Duty)
- Class 10th / Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject.
- Note: Candidates holding a valid LMV Driving License get preference for Driver roles.
2. Agniveer (Technical)
- 10+2/Intermediate Exam passed in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English) with 50% aggregate. OR
- 10+2 Science AND a 1-year ITI course in a relevant field (NSQF level 4). OR
- 10th/Matric pass with 50% aggregate + 2 years Tech Training from ITI or Diploma.
3. Agniveer Clerk/ Store Keeper (Technical)
- 10+2 / Intermediate Exam Pass in any stream with 60% marks in aggregate.
- Must secure a minimum of 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class XII.
4. Agniveer Tradesmen (10th & 8th Pass)
- 10th Pass: Class 10th simple pass. Min 33% marks in each subject.
- 8th Pass: Class 8th simple pass. Min 33% marks in each subject.

Selection Process
Online Computer Based Test (CBT) with MCQs. Negative marking of 25% applies for wrong answers.
Includes Physical Fitness Test (1.6km run, pull-ups, etc.), Physical Measurement Test, and a new Adaptability Test via mobile/tablet.
Conducted by the Army Medical Team. (Use of contact lenses is prohibited).
